In our communities, some people could be described as the "hidden people," the marginalized. Microchurch practitioners may feel intimidated by the smallness of their faith communities and assume that it's up to larger churches to meet the needs of the marginalized. Since microchurches often thrive in the margins, though, they are in a unique place to connect with and welcome others who may feel out of place in a prevailing model church. Communitas is a missional/incarnational network of practitioners addressing significant needs in their cities across the U.S. and worldwide. Through video interview clips, we will share the stories of many of these practitioners as they have engaged with "hidden people," such as those experiencing homelessness, refugees, and justice-involved neighbors. We will also have time for interaction about the needs you see in your community.
