"Recovery communities and fellowships live close to the realities of brokenness and transformation. We believe the 12-step fellowships (AA, NA, etc.) carry lessons that every expression of the Church can learn from.

In this workshop, we’ll share what we’re learning from planting and supporting Recovery Church communities across diverse settings—from treatment centers and living rooms to nightclubs and established churches—across the U.S. and internationally. We’ll explore how recovery environments and principles are reshaping our understanding of discipleship, leadership, transformation, and what it means to be the Church.

Rather than presenting a step by step model to copy, this session will highlight transferable principles and practical insights that can strengthen microchurches and disciple-making communities in a wide range of contexts. For those interested in reaching and discipling people in recovery, we’ll also share practical next steps for engaging this mission and starting a Recovery Church."
