Jesus' description of the Samaritan's mercy was that he "saw, had compassion, and moved towards" the broken man. These words are seen throughout the gospel accounts of how Jesus continues to move towards the overlooked and undervalued, and therefore can act as intentional equipping in proximity towards the poor.
